This painting focuses on how mangroves are killed in the coastal towns of Puerto Rico: Dispersion of vegetative material and fire.

Savage turistification not only provokes displacement of local communities and families but it leads to the destruction of valuable ecosystems which protect us from coastal erosion, floods and hurricanes. On top of the dead mangroves they build AirBnBs and boutique hotels.
