The piece is a flagless flag in the shape of a scarecrow. The birds are Twitter. The human is an abstraction of someone We all know who is engulfed in conflict. Be it ecological, colonial or territorial. Comms plays a big role on this piece just as in the rest of my work.

Southern Yellow Pine treated lumber. Bird eyes are peronia seeds. Twitter flight 🪶 in laminated Mahogany veneer. The portrait in acrylic on canvas sits on top of the horizon line. The wood has been carved and painted in acrylic. One of the 🐦 has some spray paint and acrylic.
